Αστρίς, Θάσος 🇬🇷
The Sun seemed quite intense today – as I sat on the beach I realised why: No wind!
I got up and went to the bakery first thing this morning to get breakfast – rolls for lunch, a sausage roll, ham and cheese slice and bougatsa.
We then spent the morning by the pool as normal which was good; We had it to ourselves yet again!
In the afternoon we went out to the beach – This time we went to Αστρίς (Astris); The name translates to “village of the stars,” due to the clear starry skies observed by locals during the annual olive harvest.
We found a bit of beach by some rocks next to one of the tavernas. It was quite hot so I swam quite a few times – and also went in to one of the tavernas to get an ice cream (and because I needed to use the loo!)
In the evening we went to eat at the Hakuna Matata taverna, we all had souvlaki which was very good.
3 days left on Thassos before we leave on Thursday, and fly home on Friday.
