Today, I went to the bakery a little after 09:30am to buy breakfast. Breakfast today was some of the bread left over from yesterday which I had with apricot jam. Bougatsa (cream filled pie with cinnamon and sugar), and for Mum I got an apple croissant.
We spent the morning by the pool – pool to ourselves again, the other guests here seem to go out in the morning, then come back in the afternoon, so we did the opposite.
At 2pm we decided to go out for the afternoon; We got in the car and headed for Θυμωνιά (Thymonia), a beach about 20 minutes drive away (just before Aliki, a well known beach on the island – but Thymonia is not as busy).
Thymonia is rocky when you first get in, but sandy further out. We had a good few hours on the beach at Thymonia and I swam several times.
Back at the apartment I had a chocolate milkshake before we went out for dinner.
For dinner we went to Giorgios Taverna, I had a lovely pork souvlaki. We had a drink at the bar and chatted to Nikos before retiring to bed.
