Κρατικός Αερολιμένας Θεσσαλονίκης «Μακεδονία» 🇬🇷
Well – that’s it – our 2026 holidays to Greece are over! It has been a very enjoyable 2 weeks. Plenty of time at the swimming pool, and on the beaches of Northern Greece. But all good things come to an end and today we have returned home.
We checked out of the hotel shortly before 08:30 this morning, filled up the car with petrol, and drove to the car rental drop off point. Then it was off to Thessaloniki “Makedonia” Airport to check in for our flight.
Mum and I wandered around the shops at the airport, which I always find interesting when abroad – finding out what’s available (last minute gifts, or just what food is available!?)
I also enjoyed looking at the flight information boards, to see where people were heading to. Oh to be on an Aegean flight to a new and interesting Greek island I’ve not yet visited. Wishful thinking!
Before too long our plane landed and we went through Passport Control. Time to board the plane. A routine 3 hour flight later and we’re back at Gatwick, waiting for our car to be delivered back to us.
Home in time for tea!
Thanks for following this year’s holiday blog. Not sure when my next foreign travels will be or where they’ll take me.
Good night,
FH.
