Only a week after holidaying in Scotland and I’m travelling again; not on my own this time but with Mum & Dad. We travelled to Cyprus today. I’ve been to Cyprus a few times before (most recently Spring 2019?) but this is the first time coming all together as a family.
This was also the first time travelling through the airport since my Essential Tremor has become more problematic for me; There was a little apprehension as comments have been made in the past by security officers at Dover/Calais, or on the London underground, who think that me shaking means I am clearly acting suspiciously; At the time I didn’t recognise it as a medical condition and didn’t have the information. Now I do.

I think that the airline industry is much more aware of that and autism now, compared to how it has been in the past; We were even invited to use the extra assistance lane because of my hidden disability lanyard. (And honestly, I have never seen so many hidden disability lanyards in one place before); Gatwick in 2016 was where it all started – and now 300 airports in 30 countries; and 18 airlines; support the sunflower lanyard scheme.
So I survived travelling on public transport for the first time in months! Big achievement.

So anyway; After landing in Πάφος – Paphos this evening we were picked up from the airport by a Scotsman who took us to our hire car, and then we drove along the motorway towards our accommodation in Πισσούρι – Pissouri.
As it was late in the evening we’ve not yet really explored so there’ll be plenty more photos tomorrow once we get our bearings and start investigating the local area.
Καληνύχτα,
Φρεντ.
