Καλό απόγευμα και καλό πάσχα.. Today (Sunday 5 May 2013) is Easter for the Greek Orthodox Church.
For Greeks across the world, fasting ends today and the Easter banquet begins: roast lamb on the spit the dish of choice for many.
I’ve never actually been to Greece at Easter time, so the Greek celebrations aren’t terribly familiar to me.
But this page on the QGazette website talks about the traditions, and there are some brilliant photos of how Easter is being celebrated in Greece on the Wonderful Greece Facebook page.
