Πάφος: Αρχαιολογικό Πάρκο της Κάτω Πάφου

Another warm and sunny morning during which I swam in the pool. After lunch we got in the car and did an afternoon trip to Πάφος – Pafos.

The fourth largest city on the island, Pafos sits on the South West coast of Cyprus. We drove straight down to the sea front (the area of the city named ‘Κάτω Πάφος – Kato Pafos’). Mum and I visited the archaeological park there (it is massive). I particularly like the mosaics which, after many hundreds of years, are still very well preserved (a lot of the time).

In the evening we drove in to the main village of Πισσούρι – Pissouri, a short drive away from our apartment (up in the mountains above the bay) and ate at the Platea Tavern in the village main square. I enjoyed chicken souvlaki, with chips and pita; The meat was very good.

Going on a bit of a longer day trip tomorrow. May even see some Flamingos.

Καληνύχτα,

ΦΧ.
