The national Public Service Broadcaster of Greece is ΝΕΡΙΤ, which stands for Νέα Ελληνική Ραδιοφωνία, Ίντερνετ και Τηλεόραση.
At present they run four national radio stations, which you can listen to online through the website at www.nerit.gr.
Click on the station name in the list below to listen.
- Πρώτο Πρόγραμμα: News and sport, some folk music.
- Δεύτερο Πρόγραμμα: Opened in December 2014. Traditional Greek music, culture programmes.
- Τρίτο Πρόγραμμα: Classical music and some radio drama.
- Kosmos: Reggae, jazz, folk-ethnic and world music.
If you are in Greece all the stations listed above broadcast nationally on FM. The list of frequencies is available on the NERIT website.
Two more national radio stations will open later in 2015.
Commercial Radio
There are a large number of commercial radio stations in Greece – some better than others, as the regulation of radio in the country is not the same as it is in the UK.
Some of the bigger ones include:
- Alpha 98,9 – News and talk.
- Real FM – News, talk, sport and music.
- Love Radio – Greek soft/pop hits.
- Skai 100,3 – News and talk. The station also relays BBC World Service, Deutsche Welle and Voice of America.
- Sfera – Folk and pop hits.

- THESSALONIKI: Ράδιο Θεσσαλονίκη
